Lentsch and Gray reunited
Remember the Republican leadership team that won a crushing, across-the-board election cycle in 2010? Bob Gray was the party chairman and Lucas Lentsch served as his executive director.
Following the election, Gray and Lentsch left the party leadership in John Elway fashion: They left on top.
Gray was freed up to work more at his firm in Pierre, Reinke Gray Wealth Management. Lentsch went to work for the state as director of agriculture development.
Gray sent out a press release saying that Lentsch is leaving that post to join Reinke Gray Wealth Management as an “ag specialist.” Lentsch comes from a fourth generation family farm, and he will help farm and ranch families with retirement income planning, succession planning and wealth transfer. As I wrote here yesterday, there’s a lot of demand for that these days.
Now the political angle: Gray is one of the advisers to former Gov. Mike Rounds’ 2014 Senate bid. With Lentsch in the fold, will he emerge as a key player in the campaign?
