Sen. Tim Johnson made no headway in stockpiling cash for a potential campaign during the last reporting period, according to his campaign finance filing acquired by the Argus Leader Washington bureau.
Johnson raised a meek $106,011 during the fourth quarter. Of that, just $19,511 came from individual donations. The rest was from political committees.
Johnson started the period with $1,221,513 cash on hand. After fourth-quarter disbursements of $92,939, he ended the period with $1,235,390.
This showing will certainly fuel speculation that Johnson won’t seek a fourth term in 2014.
